Breaking The Silence

On my way to work today, a sleepy one where I really feel like dozing off in my seat. The bus that I rode was not really silent as it's on-board buzzing TV was on showing one of the morning news of some TV station.

It was like a typical commute day on the bus but suddenly this lady beside me started blurting out: "O sige, sila na magdadala na ng pagkain. Okay, okay..".

I noticed everyone looked towards her. I guess we were all caught by surprised that the fact was she is suddenly in a phone conversation with someone on her cellphone. Geez! Thanks for breaking the silence and now I'm very sleepy.

Back To School

Oh yes, it's back to school and it's back to heavy traffic, crowded stations, packed buses, and more people on the streets.

I wish the students a wonderful school year!

The Bus

The other day, I found it to be a very amazing day. Why? I was able to ride to the same bus on my way to work and on my way home. Because of that, I was able to save Php 2.00 6.00. Not much but still saved a bit. :D

Hoping for the days of a hassle-free commute..

Pink To Green

A couple of months ago, I was a bit mesmerized how the pink glow of the metro was fading away into a refreshing hue -- green. Well I thought it's a better color choice than pink and blue. Apart from being a little biased as my favorite color is green, in my view, the metro looks a little refreshed. But on the other side of it, I really didn't not like how it was tied into "politiko" (politics).

Anyway, it's just me.. pink to green.. is nice!

Sunday Traffic

What can I say about Sundays? Oh well, in general, Sundays are somewhat an easy day for traffic but there are some Sundays that are exceptions. As a saying goes, every rule has an exception.

Just like this morning, at around 8:00AM, a trip north-bound along EDSA from Kamuning-GMA MRT station to Monumento LRT station just took about 20 minutes. How is that for travel time? How I wish everyday was like that. It sure could save a lot of time, energy, resource, and even could lessen pollution.

Sunday morning traffic.. what an ideal scenario.

hello manners, this is nicole

on my way home to pasay last night, i got the chance to sit beside this lovely lady(? haha) who was joining the bb.pilipinas 2010. she was tall, slender, fair skinned, with nice curly hair and full of crap.

I had to listen to her drone on and on to some poor soul on the other end of her phone call about how she had no time to go do stuff because they had activities for the binibining (tone goes up) pi-li-pi-nas (and down) until march.

That she would get her money back from ABSCBN (from what I could gather, she was in their acting workshop) because she was booked solid until march for the the binibining (tone goes up) pi-li-pi-nas (and down).

Oh and the shocker. she called another person asking if it was bad daw that she was riding the mrt (say it with me emrtee) 'cause all of the go home in taxis'

because she was so loud on the emrtee
because she was pa conio pero ndi naman (hello CAB not TAXI, if you're really conio)
and because she was way taller than me.

oh and she had dirty manicured nails. like she just put on polish without cleaning it. eww gross yuck.
